Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.

·Atonna Kovash - About

Features
Having grown up in Shaaloani for a majority of her life, and not really leaving it before now, she's very sheltered to a lot of the going ons of Eorzea as a whole. While news of certain events crossed the great blue, it wasn't exactly the easiest to get updates until recently. Despite being sheltered, however, she's excited to learn from the new comers, as well as teach some of her own culture to others! A friendly smile is often on her face, and a warm tone to her voice, welcoming new comers to her homeland. She has a fairly good understanding of magic, using runes and symbols along with her own tech to achieve what other mages do with words or motions. While decent with casting spells, she favors earth and levin magics, having a natural affinity towards ferromancy and electromagnetism. Not something she was taught, but rather coming natural to her. This skill is used often in her work as a train engineer at the station north of Sheshenewezi Springs, working on the rails and the engine both. She's also a skilled engineer and machinist, using the knowledge of Garlean tech to work with the crude cereluem that's pumped near by. A bit of an eccentric inventor and scientist, she often has several projects going on at the same time, and can get herself a bit confused on where she was on previous projects, however this has also lead to interesting results.Living in the untamed lands of Shaaloani has also required some skill in self defense though, and while largely an artisan and gatherer, she has several tricks up her sleeves. Ferromancy is her ace up her sleeve most times, though she can also lean on a mix of her other magical knowledge through her scholar training. If that fails, she is trained in the way of Blue Magic from the local Whalaqee tribe, and if push comes to shove, she always carries a six shooter.

Professions
Being an engineer and inventor, she has her fingers in many pies when it comes to professions. Of course, metal working is her strongest skill. With blacksmithing, she can create and maintain her own tools, as well as anyone else who needs it. The same skills can go into working on the train she is employeed to maintain. With the use of goldsmithing, she can set up circuits as well as ways to transfer energy, and tinker on clockwork items and automatons. Alchemy is mostly used for chemicals, used for the train as well as her own inventions.Armor smithing isn't used near as much as blacksmithing, but it comes in use when crafting or repairing plates on the train. Creating armor, as well as repairing, can be a bit hit and miss, and she is reluctant to accept any armor jobs. Carpentry is mostly used for wooden ties or parts of tools or the train she works on. Weaver and leatherworker are, again, mostly for bits and pieces she needs and can't wait for someone else. She enjoys to cook, but can certainly use a bit more work on that front, but is always happy to offer a hand in the kitchen. Nothing to write home about, but a home made meal is never something one should turn down.
Magic
Atonna is trained in the way of arcanima magic, and takes great pride in it, but also care not to let it get over bearing. She is often seen with a small notepad with different spells sketched into it, but also often has other gadgets along her that have the same glyphs and etches along them.Atonna's affinity towards electromagnetism and ferromancy, which leans heavily on levin and earth magics, has come into use plenty of times in her work, she can't explain how she does it, simply that she can. While it does help often with her own personal projects and the engineering feats in Shaaloani, she prefers to try not to lean on them too heavily, often doing things the harder, physical way. Still, nice to have on those particularly stubborn bolts. In her use of the forge to do her job and hobby, she often employs fire and water magics, so while not as well trained, has a decent grasp on how they function, and how to use them in day-to-day processes. While she uses wind magic occasionally for her work, it and ice are often her least used magics, and therefore her weakest. She can use the most basic forms of it, but it does leave a lot to be desired in the end.

Physical Features
On the taller end of average for female hrothgars, her height and light fur colors can make her stand out a bit in a crowd. Her fur is white, with patches of blonde fur with black markings, not unlike a snow leopard. Her eyes are a bright blue, and full of curiosity about her surroundings. Her hair is often left long, pulled back into ponytails when working to keep it out of the way.If one were to see her figure, they'd note she is toned, and clearly either does a labor intensive job or works out commonly. Not many scars can be seen under her fur, but a few may be noted on her arms, torso, and legs, all very small and likely work related as well. Her fangs are very prominent, and she isn't shy about showing them off with big smiles, as well as taking particular pride in her whiskers.
Attributes
Don't use force, get a bigger hammer!
Being a Hrothgar, there's no shock about her strength. On top the natural strength she has, she also works on heavy machinery and at a forge, which only pushes her strength further. While no warrior, she can throw a punch, and swing a hammer with enough force to make someone think twice. While she won't buckle under a small amount of pain, she has grown use to using her magic to protect her from attacks, or simply avoiding fighting all together, so she isn't as use to being knocked around as some of her more adventurous peers. Nothing to sneeze at, but nothing to write home to neither. That all said, she can keep working into the wee hours of the night with little sign of slowing down.Magically speaking, she's in a weird spot. With the right tools, she can go toe to toe with a lot of mages, some even more advanced than herself. Without the tools she's very limited on her abilities here. That being said, it's rare she's without something to focus her energy through. In a pinch, she could probably makeshift something!
My great overall skill is spontaneity and winging it!
In a job where one is swinging a large hammer, and moving large parts, dexterity can go to the way side. And rushing a job can cause more problems then help it. Easier to get it done right the first time then have to go back over it, after all. While Atonna doesn't have as much finesse as some adventurer's, she makes up for it with her strengths and spur of the moment thinking.Experience is where she makes up for her struggles. She knows her way around most mechanical things, and even with newer tech, most of the time she can jerry rig it to function long enough to get the job done. And at a forge, she knows how to work metal, either with hammer or using her ferromancy. While she's learning the way of crafting armor and weapons from scratch, she is quick to repair metal. Metalworking may be her bread-and-butter, but being out in the desert, it helps having some knowledge in other things, and Atonna dabbles in many crafts, though is only mastered with metal working so far.
If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking.
Despite Atonna's playful and sometimes seemingly airheaded nature, she takes in quite a bit about her surroundings. Always one to look for new things to learn, it's no surprise she'll listen to someone go on about their own interests, or to go out of her way to learn cultures of other people. This same outlook is what drove her to learn magitek when it came to her homeland, as well as Sharlayan tech. While her tech is a weird mish-mash of the other techs, possibly more relatable to Gobbytech, she will work at a device or machine until it finally functions how she wants it to. Trail and error is very much a learning pattern for her, and not seen as a failure. While most see them as opposites, to Atonna they're companions - the hero and the sidekick. While she isn't one to shun social events or hide herself away on purpose, sometimes she does get herself worked up on a project and tends to work several days in a row without realizing it, which has lead to her being a little socially awkward at times. Given the chance she'll talk your ear off about some random bit of tech she found in the desert once upon a time. Notably, she's also a bit of a clutz, often stumbling over herself or dropping things when she gets too excited. While she is very friendly, she also has her limits, and will often speak her mind, perhaps a little too straight forward for some people's taste. It's all in good nature, but it can likely come off as a little brash at times.
Rumors and Traits
Just small bits of information, to help understand Atonna better, or help open up more options for RP.
| Yee-haw | Growing up in Shaaloani, and has worked on the rail crew since it's founding. |
| Engineer | Atonna has worked both on the train project, as well as help setting up the cereluem pumps in the area. |
| Adopted | It is well known to those in Shaaloani she is adopted. |
| Machine Spirit | An uncanny ability to seem to figure out what ails a piece of tech. |
| Mechanically Inclined | She has a good grasp of technology, and isn't afraid to go poking around in it to see how it ticks. It's rare she doesn't have some tool kit on herself. |
| Poor Eyesight | Those glasses aren't just for good looks, after all. |
| Strong | Working metal all day, physically or magically, has left her with strength that she isn't afraid to show off in a friendly manner. |
| Enduring | She can take a hit just as well as she can throw one. Could be linked with the strength thing, but more then likely just too stubborn to admit defeat. |
| Ferromancy | Manipulating metal comes almost second nature to her, though it is far easier with special equipment. |

(Adoptive) Father - Atsidi - A Tonawawta (Hyur) male. Prospector, miner, handy man. A fairly easy going guy who helped teach Atonna the 'family secret' of their ferromancy.(Adoptive) Mother - Kai - A Tonawawta female. Tinkerer, engineer, jerry rigger. While Atsidi may of taught Atonna the art of ferromancy, Kai taught her the finer details in tinkering and engineering.(Adoptive) Siblings - Many of them. Most related to each other, Kai and Atsidi by blood, but still welcomed Atonna with open arms... with sibling rivalry, of course.(Adoptive) Aunt - Rhody - A Tonawata female. We don't talk about Rhody.

Out of Character
Just a bit of a thank you for going throught his mess of a Carrd I put together, and I hope to see you in game for RP at some point! I've been RPing for well roughly twenty years now, on all sorts of platforms such as Warcraft, Guildwars 2, Wildstar, as well as website forums. I try my best to add something new to the table, or at the very least make it fun for everyone. RP isn't just about your own character, but the stories they get brought into and interact with, and this is the mind set I try to keep when I RP with others. That being said, I do enjoy sticking to lore, and while lore bending is acceptable to write your own stories, lore breaking is not something I take lightly, and I will tend to avoid doing so with my character, as well as anything or anyone that interacts with them. Simple rule; if you can explain it in a way it works with lore, then I'll let it fly. Also keep in mind that if Atonna is being snarky or passive agressive, that's just the character, not me. If you feel it's OOC, then just poke me about it in a friendly manner! I'm not the greatest at catching onto some things I do in social situations, and have been told I come off an such. If that's the case, just gimme a heads up and we can figure it out together.-What kind of RP do you do?
Most all, dark and mature included, though erotic isn't what I'm looking for. I want long term story, but any RP is RP, and that's also acceptable.
I will not perma-death Atonna, and maiming/large damage I would appreciate if we talked over OOCly before it happened.-Where do you RP?
I, have no idea. I'm still kind of getting a hold of where the good RP areas are, though I do tend to travel the Lane occasionally in Ul'dah, so. Keep an eye out there aye?
